I wanted to talk about this before I forget: I was having a convo with someone yesterday and they made a very good point. Outside of perhaps the Travis Scott SB and New Beginnings Pack every single drop over the past 5 months has seen its price drop with each passing week. The OW 5s finally hit their bottom and are holding at a steady price 6 weeks after release.
I know I said to wait to buy 1s and Alvah until later this week. For the 1s, some prices are nearing the point of resellers making no profit. Alvahs have already seen a 10% drop to start the week.
There is a case to be made that waiting at least a month before you buy resell is a good idea. I thought I nabbed the 85 Reverse Bred for a good price and I’ve now overpaid by $100.
Attention spans right now are very short and ppl are quick to forget about a drop. Resellers are less likely to hold long term for releases. And as we’ve seen today, a restock is always possible. I also almost forgot about shipment delays. I know of a few stores that still haven’t got their Court Purples and I’m sure that’s the case for Alvah as well.
I guess this is my long way of saying you should be patient with your money when it comes to resell. There’s always next week. If you really love a shoe that much, go for it. But if not, wait it out
