The Upcoming adidas 4DFWD Pushes the Envelope on Athlete Data and Cushioning

adidas Running continues to innovate. The Three Stripes and its 4D technology with the help of Carbon have ushered in a new sensation for runners and sneakerheads alike. Whether for lifestyle purposes or engineered to shattering PRs, adidas Running isn’t slowing down with the use of 4D quite yet.

The latest frontier is the adidas 4DFWD. The newest silhouette is a culmination of athlete data and the brand’s application of 3D printing for its cushioning system. The model uses a Primeknit + upper tailored to perfectly complement the 4DFWD midsole. The sock-like fit still allows breathability ensuring that every stride is supported to the fullest.

The bow-tie-shaped construction of the FWD cell priorities energy return and redirects it toward a horizontal and forward motion for more natural propulsion. The 4DFWD midsole is made of 39% bio-based 3D material and offers 23% more cushioning as it generates three times as much forward motion compared to previous 4D models.

The adidas 4DFWD releases on May 15 in the black and solar red colorway for $220 USD on adidas.com, the Confirmed App, and select retailers.
