Celebrate the 97 All-Star Game With the adidas Crazy 97 EQT “All-Star 1997”

NBA All-Star Weekend has always been a staple in special sneaker releases and 2022 is looking to bring the heat. 2022 will mark the 25th anniversary of NBA All-Star weekend’s first foray to Cleveland, Ohio. It also happens to be the location of the 2022 All-Star Game making quite the full circle moment. In honor of that iconic 1997 All-Star Game, where a young rookie named Kobe Bryant took home the coveted NBA Dunk championship, adidas is releasing a special edition of the adidas Crazy 97 EQT “All-Star 1997”.

Dressed in a mostly silver base featuring bits of white and black on the midsole and outsole respectively as well as throughout the striped panel found on the lateral portion of the shoe. Blue and orange accents, the colors of that year’s All-Star Game, also take the stage. The blue shows up as piping throughout the silhouette and in the shoe liner whereas the orange appears on the lenticular tags on the tongue and medial ankle. A tongue tag that reads “1997” a nod to the year of the All-Star Game completes the look.

The adidas Crazy 97 EQT “All-Star” is set to release around February during this year’s All-Star Weekend in Cleveland, Ohio. It will be available via adidas.com and select retailers. This isn’t the only All-Star related shoe adidas has teased us with so far. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
