adidas Is Reissuing the ‘74 Americana Hi & Lo on April 1st

While adidas is known for its long-running heritage sneakers such as the Superstar or Stan Smiths, one model that has rarely been given the spotlight is the minimalist, 1974 basketball sneaker, the adidas Americana. That all changes on April 1st, when adidas reissues the Americana in both hightop and lowtop versions.

Both versions feature “America Hi.” and “Americana Lo.” branding respectively along the side of the shoe in a black Serif font as well as “THE AMERICANA” branding along the tongue label. Both cuts of the Americana come in a clean, white leather upper with additional suede paneling on the toe box. A streak of ‘Glory Blue’ piping runs across the Hi’s ankle while contrasting “Glory Red” is found on the Lo’s ankle.

These vintage kicks are also set to be very affordable, with the Lows running you $70 USD while the Highs are #80 USD.
