The NMD family is taking lessons from the beautiful game.
Adidas has quietly released NMD S1 FS, which borrows Fusion Skin from the iconic Copa line of soccer boots. The material was first introduced in 2019 as an evolution of kangaroo leather that’s seamless, less permeable, and molds to the foot. It’s super lightweight and soft to the touch. Fusion Skin envelops the toe and wraps around the upper, giving way to a Primeknit collar and tongue for a sock-like fit. The transition to the midsole also appears to be seamless, with the shape underfoot staying true to the S1 as we know it with Boost cushioning hidden inside.
Although Adidas has yet to reveal the NMD S1 FS officially, Dubai-based Level Shoes has already launched the new silhouette for $361. It’ll be interesting to learn more about the kicks when the Brand With Three Stripes begins its own rollout, and here’s hoping the price is a little nicer when we don’t need to turn to Dubai to cop.
