adidas and Tracy McGrady are ready to take over 2022, after announcing a rerelease of the iconic adidas T-Mac 1″All-Star” the duo is back with more. Before he donned the number 1 for the Raptors and the Magic, NBA Hall of Famer Tracy McGrady was #3 for the Auburndale Bloodhounds in Auburndale, Florida. During his final season at Auburndale before transferring to Mount Zion Christian Academy in North Carolina, Tracy averaged a whopping 23 points, 12 boards, and 4 assists.
To honor those 3 formative years, adidas is returning to one of Tracy’s most iconic silhouettes, the T-Mac 3. Originally released in 2017, the adidas T-Mac 3 “Auburndale” comes dressed in a white leather base with blue suede on the medial side and the heel. Bursts of yellow shine through on the ankle collar, sock liner, and the plastic stripes on the heel and lateral side. Instead of the T-Mac 1 logo appearing on the silhouette’s lower tongue, it has been replaced by Tracy’s high school number 3.
