The original “Neutral Grey” colorway of the Air Jordan 1 remained locked in the Nike vault for three decades before returning in a low in 2015 and the new ’85 High cut in 2021. (It also returned partially on the 2018 Union x AJ1 High.) Another low version followed in 2021 but in the modern “OG” cut, not an ’85 remake. Rumors of a Low ’85 edition have been buzzing for years, and now we finally see it in Neutral Grey.
The upcoming pair looks almost identical to the 2021 drop to the untrained eye. A closer look reveals details that make it closer to the original version from the 80s. Those include a larger Swoosh, eight lace holes instead of seven, and a yellowed midsole. Like its High counterpart, the Low comes with a price jump from $140 to $170. The Air Jordan 1 Low ’85 “Neutral Grey” (FB9933-100) was expected to be released on October 25 but moved to November 2. Some stores released it early.
