The latest chapter in the most iconic and longest-running signature line has finally arrived with the Air Jordan 36. Following its predecessors and the company’s DNA, the 36 takes innovation to a new threshold as the quest for the perfect on-court sneaker guided by traction, fit, and reducing weight without sacrificing support or cushioning.

The Air Jordan 36 is built with an all-new jacquard leno-weave upper that not only reduces weight but keeps your foot locked in throughout any movement. Its lightweight yet strong components ensure breathability and optimal functionality. In addition to its performance benefits, the see-through design and intricate pattern serve as the canvas for creative colorways and heritage-infused stories.

Jacqueline Lefferts, a four-year Material Designer at Jordan Brand, was instrumental in the breakthrough of the all-new upper. Lefferts earned a Master’s degree in Textile Design from the Royal College of Art in London, where she specialized in leno weave, a particular branch of weaving that was the foundation for the latest evolution of the Air Jordan.

In addition to the upper, the Air Jordan 36 features a full-length Zoom Air Strobel unit, an energy-returning Zoom Air unit, and an advanced Eclipse Plate for ultimate performance and comfort. Doubling down from previous models, the Eclipse Plate is hollowed out between the outsole and midsole in the Air Jordan 36  to help reduce weight and expose the shoe’s stabilizing shank.
