Jordan Brand is gearing up for a huge 2023 by digging in the vaults and reviving some of the most wanted PEs in the game. The legendary Jordan 5 became one of Air Jordan’s hottest silhouettes when it dropped in 1990. It appeared on his Wheaties box and was famously the Fresh Prince’s sneaker of choice. The iconic sneaker is set to get a look inspired by a Player Exclusive made for the point god, Chris Paul, during his time with the New Orleans Hornets.
This upcoming iteration of the Air Jordan 5 features a black nubuck upper with yellow and teal accents throughout, matching the Hornets color scheme. The water blue details appear on the Jumpman logo found on the reflective tongue, lace lock, and outsole. Yellow appears on the sneaker’s signature shark teeth on the midsole. The only difference between the upcoming Air Jordan 5 “Aqua” and the Chris Paul version is the embroidered 3 found on the medial Paul’s pair. The Air Jordan 5 “Aqua” is set to release on February 4 via Nike and select retailers. The retail price has been set at $200.
