Jordan Brand is bringing back a classic Air Jordan 5 colorway. Although not an original colorway, the AJ5 “Green Bean” from 2006 was a fan-favorite. Its silver upper with grey hits on the midsole and eyelets combined with the light green hit on the lining, the Jumpman logos on the tongue and heel, and the shark teeth, a staple design element of the Air Jordan 5.
As we touched on in 2021, the Air Jordan 5 “Green Bean” was a moment. Rather than having the signature 3M material on just the shoe’s tongue, the “Green Bean” upper was primed for the flashing lights with its all-over 3M makeover.
On the dawn of its 16th anniversary, Jordan Brand is bringing back the Air Jordan 5 “Green Bean” colorway, as well as another 2006 favorite — the Air Jordan 7 “Citrus.”
The Air Jordan5 “Green Bean” returns on May 28 for $200 on SNKRS and select retailers. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
