Another Space Jam inspired drop from Air Jordan arrives on April 8th with the AJ7 ‘Hare 2.0’. The Bugs Bunny inspired sneaker is the latest in a long lineage of “Hare Jordan” collabs, dating as far back as Michael Jordan and Looney Tunes’ 1999 ad campaigns.
This “Hare Jordan” is a light blue, Bugs Bunny, faux-fur clad take on the AJ7 ‘Hare’ from 2015, which also adds a metallic pink mesh on the tongue, inner lining and heel. Beyond the faux-Bugs Bunny fur on the upper, a large rubber “23” patch is affixed to the heel in a 90s inspired mix of red, green, and lavender, colors which are also shared on the frosted outsole who’s kaleidoscopic patchwork is paired with a purple Jumpman logo. As a final treat to customers, take a look at the lid of the AJ7 Hare 2.0’s box and you’ll see a semi-transparent carrot graphic peeking through the white cardboard.
This marks only the second of what is sure to be a few more Space Jam-centric sneakers from Nike in 2020, the previous being the Lebron 17 ‘Monstars’.
