Grammy-nominated rapper Aminé, fresh off the release of his KAYTRAMINÉ collaborative album, hops out of the booth and into New Balance’s kitchen for his upcoming New Balance 610 “Mooz.”
Last week, Aminé made waves, teasing his New Balance collaboration on social media. We didn’t have photos to go off when the video was released, but now, we have our first look at the sneaker.
In the billboard ad, placed in Aminé’s hometown of Portland, you can see his silhouette draws inspiration from bananas. In an interview with Hot 97, he explained his love for the color yellow and banana bread. At first glance, the reference is very noticeable because of the shades of yellow and brown throughout the shoe. The mesh-like upper comes in vibrant yellow and dark brown, with reflective hits near the toe and heel, and finished with a tongue tag featuring the fruit.
Aminé joined New Balance, becoming a brand ambassador in April 2022. He makes his sneaker collaboration debut with the upcoming project.
The Aminé x New Balance 610 “Mooz” is expected to release this summer. We’ll update you when we have more.
