As sneakers begin to become more culturally relevant beyond just sneakerheads and sports, different brands are speaking to different consumers.
Atoms is the latest example. Found in 2018, the company aims to bring comfort with minimalism for a wider audience. With sustainability in mind, the company has become an alternative for Silicon Valley types and others. The brand has just announced its Model :000 “Bitcoin” version. The colorway, according to the company, aimed to humanize the currency as “Bitcoin is a tool that enables financial freedom – it is a natural fit given its open and permissionless nature.”
“I wear Atoms every single day. They are the most comfortable shoes, but the people behind the brand are even better humans. They align perfectly with the Bitcoin ethos of freedom and sovereignty,” said Bitcoin advocate Anthony Pompliano.
The Atoms Model :000 “Bitcoin” is available for pre-order at Atoms.com now until September 29 for $129.00. The pairs will begin to ship out on November 14.
