Bandai Namco & Jordan Brand Connect on the Air Jordan 1

The worlds of collectables and sneakers meet again.

In May, Nike announced a multi-year partnership with Lego. Just last week, at SDCC, we were teased with what appears to be the latest project from .SWOOSH– a collaboration with Yu-Gi-Oh!

Now, it is Bandai Namco who is joining in on the fun. The brand has announced a partnership with Jordan Brand on model kits of the Air Jordan 1 High 85 Shadow and Reverse Shadows. The model kits will retail for $130 USD.

Additionally, Bandai will tap into the gotchapon craze. These miniature versions of the Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 will drop in 18 colorways. That means there will be two surprise colorways along with the original colorways of the Air Jordan 1 High. For those unfamiliar, gotchapon figures release in mystery packaging- be it blind bags or from a bending machine.

The pre-orders for the Bandai Namco x Air Jordan 1 High ’85 models go live today at 10 PM EST via Bandai Namco. The gotchapon miniatures will launch in Japan in October, though reservations will open on August 7th for those in North America.

You can pre-order both the High 85′ models and the gotchapon mini’s now via the SoleSavy store. Both items are expected to ship later this year.
