Releasing this week courtesy of Nike and BLACK COMME des GARÇONS’s is a distressed, gothic take on the Nike Waffle Racer 2.
Like all products in the BLACK CdG sub-line, the defining feature on the Waffle Racer 2 is the use of tonal blacks throughout the shoe. Save for white “CDG” branding on the heel, this low-top sneaker hidden details become further obfuscated at first glance.
A closer look at the Japanese label’s newest creation reveals an extra-large Swoosh along the medial sides in distressed black denim. Frayed edges add a grunge/goth aesthetic to the legacy sneaker that will only continue to distress upon wear.
Expect this to drop at Dover Street Market in-store and online on February 27th.
