Made specifically for the retired CC Sabathia and the 11 other Jordan Brand-affiliated MLB players, the brand made each player their own individually numbered Air Jordan 5s and Max 200. The AJ 5 PEs are constructed of a vintage-aged canvas with “Jordan” script logos embroidered in red on the heel with further yellowed vintage makeup added to the midsole, shark inlays, and all mesh paneling. Black piping around all overlays adds more dimension to the 11 PEs. For the Max 200, each player worked with the Jordan Brand design team to create the unique blue/volt/grey colorway. On the left heel of each pair, a crest with “We Are XII” is emblazoned in reference to the Jordan MLB team. The Max 200 features translucent ripstop sidepanels, white overlays, and a an abstract volt/blue camo pattern on the toe box, outsole, and ankle collar.
Both the Air Jordan 5 MLB PE and Max 200 MLB PE will not be released for retail.
