Chelsea and USMNT Star Christian Pulisic Joins PUMA Football

PUMA continues to go back to its roots as the brand adds stars to its legendary roster. From Sergio Agüero to Antoine Griezmann and even Neymar Jr., PUMA Football is on the world’s most prominent pitches with its boots.

The brand adds the American star playing on English soil as USMNT captain and Chelsea F.C. winger joins the PUMA Football family. The addition arrives just shortly after a tremendous season for both club and country as Pulisic and Chelsea were crowned champions of Europe in the UEFA Champions League and helped lead the U.S. team over longtime rivals Mexico in the CONCACAF Nations League.

“Itâ€s an honor to follow in the PUMA footsteps of some of the greatest players to have ever played the game, Pele, Maradona, and Johan Cruyff,” Christian Pulisic said.

The partnership, however, is more about growing the game stateside than anything else.

“Anyone who loves soccer, should be able to play,” Pulisic added. “We have a platform in sports and if something is truly meaningful, you can really help to open peopleâ€s eyes and make changes. What I love about PUMA is they share my passion and my goal to support youth soccer in America and to help the next generation to chase their dreams.”

Pulisic will be wearing PUMAâ€s new ULTRA 1.3 on pitch and to help celebrate the announcement, PUMA teamed up with customizer Silni to produce a pair of customized Pulisic ULTRA 1.3 boots that he will debut in the Super Cup final on August 11.
