The latest from Jordan Brand to receive the luxury treatment is none other than the Jordan 1 High OG in its upcoming ‘Satin Snake Skin’ colorway. Rumored for an August 15th release, it’s still unclear if this will be marketed as a Women’s sizing Jordan, Men’s, or Unisex, as prior Satin iterations of the AJ 1 were highly limited in their small, Woman’s oriented sizing.
The entire sneaker exudes the vibes of the classic AJ 1 ‘Chicago’, with its largest deviation being the black heel cup and lace flaps. Previous mockups were right regarding the premium materials and color choices of the AJ 1 High OG ‘Satin Snake Skin’, but not so much their placement. Pictured here in leaked images, the sneaker’s satin elements will be relegated only to the lush red tongue, inner padding, and ankle collar. The posterior portion of the shoe blends together the heel, Swooshes, and ankle flaps in the same shade of premium, black snakeskin leather. The rest of the sneaker uses regular fine leather in classic Chicago color blocking with a white toe box and side paneling in addition to mudguards and lace stays in that beloved Chicago red.
