Rei Kawakubo’s COMME des GARÇONS continues to merge into the sneaker space. The CdG Shirt line that started in 1988 is teaming up with an early ’90s classic for its latest collaboration.
COMME des GARÇONS Shirt is taking on the GEL-Lyte V in a black & white look across two iterations. The ey-catching pattern mimics animal print, while other design cues include ASICS branding on the tongues and heels, co-branded insoles, and COMME des GARÇONS Shirt text on the midsole.
The COMME des GARÇONS Shirt x ASICS GEL-Lyte V collection is available now on SVD in both black & white for €230.00 (~$245 USD). A wider release has not been disclosed. For future releases, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
