Discord and Collegium Partner Up for the Pillar Alpha Annex

Sneaker culture owes everything to the creation of message boards. NikeTalk and various other message boards cultivated the idea of community, allowing sneakerheads all across the globe to share and discuss their favorite sneakers. The idea still lives on with Discord, the voice, video, and text communication service that allows like-minded people to foster their own communities. Discord is once again partnering with burgeoning sneaker brand Collegium for their second-ever sneaker following their initial partnership last year, which focused on highlighting Discord and Collegium’s missions to provide community and inclusivity.

The Pillar Alpha Annex draws inspiration from Collegiumâ€s own Discord channel and the wider community of sneakerheads that have made Discord home. The sneaker is handcrafted in Italy with a timeless design. The sneaker comes with a premium white leather upper and a blend of suede and nubuck on the overlays. The overlays come in three shades of “Blurple,” the signature shade of Discordâ€s beloved mascot Wumpus which also appears on the co-branded insoles. Other details include Black leather accents appear on the side panels and tongue tag, and embossed logos on the lateral, while a vintage-treated Italian rubber outsole completes the look. A limited number of the ​​Pillar Alpha Annex will drop for free on Collegiumâ€s Discord server on Saturday, March 11.  Fans can enter by joining the Collegium server and reacting to a post that day.
