Early Look: adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 ‘Asriel’

In stark contrast to the recently leaked ‘Israfil’ colorway, the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 ‘Asriel’ sees the brand return to darker tones. Donning different shades of black, white, and grey, the ‘Asriel’ is rumored to have a September 2020 release date.

Sitting atop a semi-translucent rubber gum sole, the ‘Asriel’ really shines in its intricate monochromatic primeknit patterning. The detailed patterning and linework present in the primeknit are more noticeable than ever in this iteration of the Yeezy Boost 350 v2. The stitching in the middle separates the upper into two highly contrasting patterns, resulting in an abstract patchwork-like aesthetic that separates the sneaker from the status quo. An alternative lacing method is also present on this Yeezy, with a removable, cylindrical-shaped, lace locking system allowing you to hide the presence of its already subdued, black shoelaces.
