eBay Announces Sneaker Authentication & Reselling Program With SneakerCon

As revealed by Business Insider, eBay has announced that it will be opening its own sneaker authentication centers and online reselling platform to compete with StockX and GOAT. The aforementioned platforms are currently the biggest name in the multi-billion dollar reselling industry – and eBay hopes to catch up. eBay’s new program will curb the widespread sale of fake shoes on their site as well as help them take a share of the market.

The sneaker authentication centers are co-run by SneakerCon to ensure high-quality service and expertise is applied throughout. Furthermore, the program will only apply to new and used shoes sold for $100 USD or more.
