After having recently dropped his colorful take on Allen Iverson’s classic Reebok Question Mid, sportswear trailblazer Eric Emanuel returns to the heritage brand with his upcoming Club C collaboration. Releasing in Red and Purple colorways, the Eric Emanuel x Reebok Club C is tentatively scheduled for an August 7th release.
Emanuel’s version uses the standard white leather Club C as its base and leaves its upper and midsole unchanged, thus preserving its timeless nature as a modern wardrobe staple. The white leather heel is now replaced with a bright Red or Purple depending on your preferred pair and changes the standard Reebok branding with Emanuel’s “EE” varsity logo in white stamped on instead. Matching tonal sockliners are added to the Club C as well and are done in a shaggy suede that not only adds a lot of extra flair but also adds some plush, comfortable cushioning for the ankle. Look inside and you’ll find a co-branded “EE” and “Reebok” insole as the shoe’s only other bit of Emanuel branding. While the Red pair dons a standard light Grey outsole, the purple pairs opt for a natural gum finish making it the more eye-catching of the duo.
