Google Reports the Most Searched Sneakers in 2021 (So Far)

We’re nearing the end of the year, and the annual sneaker lists are filing out.

Google Shopping and Paper recently teamed up and compiled the most searched sneakers in 2021 (so far). The results might surprise you.

Before we get into the “head-turners,” it’s no shock to see that the Air Force 1 made the list. Whether it be a classic white-on-white pair of Uptowns or even collabs from Undefeated or OFF-WHITE, the Air Force 1 is as dominant as ever. The same goes for Nike’s Air Max line. Though the specific silhouette wasn’t named, it comes as no surprise that the Air Max line was heavily searched as the Air Max 1, Air Max 90, Air Max 95, Air Max 97, and others continue to be popular for general releases and collaborations alike. And of course, the iconic Conver Chuck Taylor All-Star remains king. Simple, clean, accessible. Since 1917, the silhouette has been at the forefront of both performance (believe it or not) and style.

Designer sneakers like the Rombaut Boccaccio II and the Alexander McQueen Oversize Sneaker made the list. Although both silhouettes sit on the opposite side of the spectrum, we’ve seen both loud and simple high-end sneakers become heavily favored throughout social media, (i.e. the Balenciaga Triple S).

The adidas Ozweego surprisingly made the list. Not that it’s a bad sneaker by any means — the fashion-forward design language perfectly blurs the lines of futuristic and classic. Though, the silhouette has been quiet for awhile now. Maybe this is a sign that people are still searching for it?

Last, but certainly not least, is the Maison Margiela x Reebok Tabi. Yes, you read that correctly. The design label and the Vector brand teamed up multiple times throughout the year for a Tabi take on the famed Club C and the Classic Leather. Whether its polarizing design, next-level quality, or its $300 retail price point, there’s a handful of reasons that led people to search for the shoe.

Despite a handful of weeks still left in the year, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the list change. If anything, maybe an Air Jordan 1 or a New Balance 990v5 could make its way onto the end-of-year list. Time will tell.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
