Heavy Metal Inspired Nike Air Force 1 Low “Euro Tour” Releasing Soon

Nike’s latest version of the Air Force 1 Low takes inspiration from the world of heavy metal music and its hyper-stylized iconography. The upcoming AF 1 Low “Euro Tour” is a clever bit of referential storytelling, presenting itself as a companion piece to a fictional band’s European concert tour through some slight alterations.

Most notably, the regular Swooshes have been skewed slightly in order to transform them into lightning bolt-shaped Swooshes. These leather Swooshes are dyed in a University Red adding a huge pop of color to the once-minimalist sneakers. A mini Swoosh is embroidered in a Silver thread near the lateral side of the toebox and the “Nike Air” branding on the heel is done in Navy Blue embroidery. The final change is the leather tongue which has been replaced with a plush mesh/foam construction and a completely transformed tongue tag. The tag is now a  makeshift tour poster done in metallic silver with black text reading “Nike Swoosh On Tour 2020” and several European countries. The red insoles feature the same text alongside a lightning Swoosh motif and a world map graphic. These shoes hit arrive in the coming days on Nike’s website and affiliated retailers.
