Hello Kitty x Nike collab is on the way

Hello Kitty has been a fan favorite for years now and now they are set to introduce a collaboration with Nike. It’s no shock the two will be releasing a collection of items, as some of you may remember the duo’s 2004 Nike Air Presto design that was never actually released. According to rumors, we can expect a revised model for those Prestos in this collaboration.

Sanrio, known for their Hello Kitty products, will work alongside Nike to curate a collection that includes footwear and apparel. There are images circulating on social media and insiders have let out what can be the first look into the collection. The image highlights a t-shirt that is branded on the front and back, in a Nike swoosh and Hello Kitty logo.

Be sure to keep it locked with SoleSavy more information on the rumored Hello Kitty x Nike collaboration.

Nike becomes an investor in the WNBA

It’s a big week for the WNBA. It was reported that the W accumulated a capital raise of $75 million – the largest ever for a women’s sports property.

To no surprise, one of the investors is Nike. With their investment, Nike hopes to increase the visibility of the WNBA and attract more fans into women’s basketball. Other investors include former and existing NBA and WNBA players, NBA owners such as Baron Davis, Swin Cash, Pau Gasol, Condoleeza Rice, and more.

The VP of NA Leagues Partnerships at NIKE, Sonja Henning, had some words to share on the investment. She said, “women’s sport is one of the best investments, with great potential to impact and grow the next era of basketball.” This speaks volumes as this is a start of a bigger movement.

This investment will create a positive impact not only on the current WNBA but the future of the league. A’Ja Wilson, forward for the Las Vegas Aces,  also shared her optimism on the Nike investment: “… it also means more opportunity than ever to inspire young girls to dream big.”

Such an amazing start to the year for the WNBA league.
