Colombian pop sensation J Balvin is officially the first Latin artist to collaborate on a Jordan Brand sneaker. Retailing for $175 USD, the long-teased J Balvin x Air Jordan 1 High “Colores Y Vibras” will release December 8th. The colorway is very vibrant, eschewing traditional leather and instead opting for an all canvas upper dyed in a rainbow gradient. Both midsoles and outsoles are done in soft, pastel pink midsole and outsole while the ankle collar and sock liner are done in black satin. The overlays have additional angular and curved paneling added to their exterior edges, resulting in a cloud-like silhouette on the ankle and jagged teeth around the heel and toebox. Three removable velcro patches are included with the package and can be applied to the lateral heel. These graphics reappear in enlarged form on the shoe’s tongue tags.
