Jonah Hill has not only proven himself as a successful actor, director, and even a marketing director, the man has quickly risen in status to among the most stylish artists working right now, always changing his creative trajectory. But one aspect of his long documented style journey which has remained a constant is his love for adidas, the brand which has finally granted Hill his first sneaker collab.
The adidas Superstar by Jonah Hill is a heavily skate culture and streetwear indebted creation. Hill’s version of the Superstar maintains the general silhouette and iconic clamshell toe but adds embossed Three-Stripes branding along its medial sides that only subtly protrudes outwards, producing small shadows visible best in bright light. Embroidered in a black thread at the posterior side of the kicks is the word “SUPERSTAR” written in a gritty graffiti-esque style that can only be assumed to be Hill’s own stylistic penmanship.
To add further references to the golden era of Nike SBs, DC Shoes, Osiris, and Vans, the Superstar by Jonah Hill feature exaggerated, thick laces and a black leather heel cap with loose, white threading outlining in it, and Hill’s initials in bright green.
Expect the Jonah Hill x adidas Superstar to drop April 10th online.
