In 2021, Jordan Brand and the NFL teamed up with six kids from the Fuel Up to Play 60 program for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to design an Air Jordan 36 colorway for the brand’s gridiron athletes: Davante Adams, Stephon Gilmore, and Cameron Jordan.
The six kids participated in a Jordan Wings Design program, marking the first time the program was conducted with kids outside of Jordan Brand’s traditional WINGS partner organizations.
Through Zoom calls with designers and athletes, the kids executed an Air Jordan 36 from visualization to the concept and the final design. Each kid was paired up with an athlete that played in their respective hometown (i.e two kids from New Orleans were partnered with Cameron Jordan, a New Orleans Saints defensive end).
