With the return of the adidas Forum, adidas Los Angeles and Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are teaming up for a limited release that gives back to the LA youth through the Skyhook Foundation, which he founded in 2009.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is giving back with this upcoming drop as 33 pairs of the adidas Forum Low pay homage to the Lakers Hall of Famer as well as the Three Stripes’ hardwood classic.
The custom adidas Forum, made by factory8384, is the perfect nod as the upper material is hand-made with Kareem’s Los Angeles Lakers home jersey. And, of course, his jersey number inspired the limited units of the pair.
“I’m proud to be partnering with adidas Los Angeles for this limited release. Together we are giving kids a shot that can’t be blocked,” Kareem Abdul-Jabbar said.
Each pair will cost $1,000, personally signed by Abdul-Jabbar himself, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Skyhook Foundation. The limited-edition shoe will be released on June 26 at Sneaker Con, taking place on the mobile-first experience app NTWRK.
