Kasina and Nike continue their relationship as the Korean streetwear brand has another collaboration on the way.
Following the release of the “Industrial Blue” and “Neptune Green” colorways, Kasina is celebrating its 25th anniversary with the help of the Air Max 1. The revolutionary Air Max 1 is also celebrating its 35th anniversary, which has funneled a series of colorways and collaborations.
The Kasina x Nuke Air Max 1 will be releasing in two colorways, akin to its preceding collab.
The joint Air Max 1 is built with premium materials such as premium leather, suede, and pony hair. Other details include a flower on the mini Swoosh, Kasina branding, wooden lace dubraes, and a translucent outsole. The “Better Together” colorways are constructed similar to a mandarin duck and includes a duck-like hangtag. Korean culture often uses wood-carved mandarin ducks, kireogi, as marriage gifts. Mandarin ducks are believed to mate for life & mourn if the other pair dies. Kireogi symbolism brings Kasina’s Air Max 1 collection into a perfect union.
The Kasina x Nike Air Max 1 “Better Together” collection releases on June 4 on Kasina.Co.KR and on June 8 on SNKRS and select retailers. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
