LeBron James’ Game Worn Highschool Sneakers Gifted by Kobe Bryant Up For Auction

One of the more sentimental pieces of footwear memorabilia has just gone up for auction via Heritage Auctions. The shoes in question are a pair of adidas Kobe 2s in an American flag colorway, gifted by Kobe Bryant himself to a highschool aged LeBron James. Regarding the shoes in question, James once stated:

I think my most fond moment is he gave me his shoes when I was in high school,” James said, “I think I was playing in a tournament in Teaneck, N.J., and they were playing in the [2002] All-Star game in Philly. And I had an opportunity to go meet him, and he gave me a pair of his shoes, and I actually wore them in a game against Oak Hill, against Melo [Carmelo Anthony], actually.”

The auction ends on February 27th.
