Dropping alongside the Air Max 95, we now have official images of DENHAM The Jeanmaker’s collaborative Air Max 1 model. Set to release alongside a larger DENHAM x Nike capsule collection this Fall, the denim-clad AM 1 is also rumored to be limited to only 68,000 pairs worldwide.
While a gum outsole and crisp white midsole maintain a sense of normalcy in this collab, DENHAM’s high-quality craftsmanship speaks volumes on the remaining portions of this collab. Indigo dyed denim with a variety of different stitching techniques and patterns is applied throughout the shoe’s overlays. The ankle collar and toebox feature a white gradient, grid pattern embroidery while the lace stays feature white, Sachiko style stitching throughout. Resting at the bottom portion of the lace stays is a patch of untreated, dark indigo denim. Navy suede is used for the mudguard while beige suede with a stamped “Nike Air” logo is featured prominently on the heel. White applique embroidery can be found on the indigo denim tongue while the tag features the same, aforementioned branded beige suede as its label. The insole is made up of red leather with further embroidery in the form of golden Nike Swooshes and DENHAM’s scissors motif. The shoes also come with gold-tipped, white shoelaces and a criss-cross patterned red/white pair of laces, both featuring DENHAM scissors on the aglet.
