Liverpool may not be having the best season based on their standards, but they are raising the bar as far as sneaker collaborations.
Converse is teaming up with the Scouse football club for a full-spectrum collection including two pairs of sneakers. Both the Chuck 70 and Run Star Hike take inspiration from Liverpool’s stadium banners and scarves. “YNWA,” an abbreviation for the club’s anthem, “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” gets an all-over treatment on the two silhouettes.
The black and white Chuck 70 includes the club’s motto as part of a patchwork assortment, with red coming on the laces and a patch on both the lateral and medial side. The color is also used for the Liverpool crest embroidered onto the tongue, also appearing on the Run Star Hike, and again appears on an “LFC” panel on the midsole’s heel.
Converse’s link-up with Liverpool, which includes a wider range of apparel and accessories, will drop April 6 through the brand’s website and select retailers. The Chuck 70 will fetch $110, and the Run Star Hike is priced at $115. Download the DROPS by SoleSavy app to stay abreast on all the sneaker news you need.
