New Balance and Louis De Guzman have another collaboration on the way. The Boston-based brand and the Chicago-born artist link up on the 574 once more.
The upcoming Louis De Guzman x New Balance 574 is a blend of materials, colors, and patterns as the pair is composed of suede overlays and leather paneling. The pair is primarily dressed in black as a range of blue hues, red, and a fluorescent pink land on the pair. The 574’s lateral “N” logos showcase Guzman’s art as the medial side has white embroidered outlines of the “N” logo. The apparel collection consists of a hoodie, tee, nylon shorts, jogging pants, and socks.
“I am beyond honored to be joining New Balance in reimagining their iconic 574. This mixed media footwear piece draws inspiration from my personal color palette from my ongoing body of work entitled In Between The Lines. A representation of raising self-awareness and confidence in oneself,” Louis De Guzman said. “Being able to apply the body of work and subject matter towards the color blocking and tooling of the 574 has been a humbling process.”
The latest Louis De Guzman x New Balance 574 collection releases on December 7 via Greenhouse and on December 8 via Foot Locker family stores.
