When it comes to football, PUMA is unmatched. As we covered last summer in our Kickin’ It series, PUMA Football will remain king.
Recently, the brand has presented a strong resurgence on and off the pitch with a handful of marquee signings, including U.S. Men’s National Team/Chelsea FC’s Christian Pulisic, Brazil/Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar Jr., and others.
PUMA Football adds another international star to the squad as Memphis Depay, an integral member of Barcelona FC and the Netherlands’ national team, joins the brand’s historic football division.
“To me, this is a perfect match, PUMA shares my passion and vision for my future, and I cannot wait for people to see what we have planned. I want to inspire people from all walks of life and continue the work of my foundation, which aligns naturally with PUMA’s existing REFORM platform,” Memphis Depay said. “PUMA has a history of high-quality and innovation, having worked with some of the most iconic football players in history. Like me, those icons were brave to be different; it’s in my DNA. We are going to take things to the next level.”
The partnership will combine influences from sport and culture to create unique products, starting with the launch of Depay’s PUMA collection in late 2022. Additionally, PUMA will produce co-branded fashion products with the Dutchman through his luxury Blind and Deaf to the World (BADTTW) sub-label. Depay will also be one of the newest faces for PUMA’s Ultra football boot.
