Michael Jordan has been making wishes come true since 1989. To celebrate his upcoming birthday, His Airness has made the largest individual donation to Make-A-Wish in its history at $10 million dollars. Jordan’s birthday wish is that others will join him in supporting the charity

As a part of his campaign to inspire others to donate, Make-A-Wish and MJ include donations in tiers related to MJ, like $23 in honor of his legendary jersey number or $60 in reference to his age. “For the past 34 years, it’s been an honor to partner with Make-A-Wish and help bring a smile and happiness to so many kids,” Jordan said in a news release. “Witnessing their strength and resilience during such a tough time in their lives has truly been an inspiration.”

Jordan is one of Make-A-Wish’s most requested wish-granters and has granted hundreds of wishes to kids all around the world. In 2008, he was named Chief Wish Ambassador for the “life-changing impacts he has had on wish kids and their families.”
