Michael Jordan’s Nike Air Ships Will Be Auctioned This Month

The Nike Air Ship has become a relic for sneakerheads enamored by the history and legacy of his Airness. After being unvaulted and revealed as the true “Banned” shoe, the Air Ship has captured the desires of many collectors and historians alike.

Since the proper introduction of the Air Ship, auction houses and collectors have unearthed their pairs for the bidding (or for just window shopping). Sotheby’s, the famed auction house that has become a conduit for coveted Nike/Jordan Brand product, has obtained a lightly worn pair of Michael Jordan’s Air Ships from early in his career.

The pair is estimated to sell for over $1 million, making it the highest estimate for a pair of sneakers ever offered at an auction, according to High Snobiety.

The auction for the Nike Air Ship will be at MGM’s Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on October 24. Keep it locked on SoleSavy for more Nike and Jordan Brand news.
