The New Balance 2002R “Protection Pack” series is taking off this year. Following the inaugural trio from last year, the tearaway & distressed aesthetic on the 2002R has captivated sneakerheads from all over, even those who were hesitant to jump onto the New Balance wave.
Ahead of the second “Protection Pack” installment, the 2002R is releasing in another trifecta of colorways. In addition to the pink & purple 2002R, an all-purple iteration has surfaced. Shades of purple land throughout the shoe’s leather, suede, and mesh construction. Additionally, exposed foam details on the heel and tongue tie the colorway together.
A release date for the New Balance 2002R “Protection Pack” in purple has not been announced. However, we expect the pair to release for $150 on NewBalance.com and select retailers in the upcoming weeks. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
