Coffee-Inspired New Balance 550 “Au Lait” is a Women’s Exclusive

The New Balance 550 continues to be a crowned jewel for the Boston-based brand. Revived by Aimé Leon Dore’s Teddy Santis, the 550 has evolved from a hardwood classic into a lifestyle staple.

Building on the momentum from the last few years, the New Balance 550 is the canvas for not one, not two, not three but four women’s exclusive colorways: white & beige; white & purple; white & pink; and a white & brown version.

The New Balance 550 “Au Lait” mirrors the other colorways with its simple construction as a white leather base is paired with mesh, suede, and leather details coated in a range of brown hues. In French, café au lait is coffee made with milk; the beverage serves as inspiration for the latest 550 with its part white, part brown color combination.

A release date for the New Balance 550 “Au Lait” has not been announced. However, we expect the pair to release for $110 on NewBalance.com and select retailers in the upcoming weeks. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
