Fresh off the heels of New Balance Japan’s NB 1500JPJ announcement, the brand has unveiled another upcoming archive release. Originally released in 2010, the NB 1700 will be returning to Japanese retailers in its OG colorway.
Billed as a limited edition release, the Made In Japan NB 1700 is constructed from a high-quality, grey leather upper with breathable mesh in lighter grey tones applied on the toebox. Dark navy blue padding is used on the interior of the shoe as well as in small patches interspersed throughout the upper. The white “N” logo patch is outlined in gold-tinted embroidery which matches the “LIMITED EDITION” text embroidered atop the heel and the golden, “NB” branded lace locks. Below this text is more embroidery that spells out “NEW BALANCE JAPAN” in dark navy blue. The sneaker all rests atop a comfortable Encap midsole synthesizing NB Japan’s great design with the brand’s world-renowned comfort.
