New Balance continues its “MADE” series. As the 990 series celebrates its ruby anniversary this year, the 990v1, 990v2, and 990v3 have been subtly upgraded from their signature all-grey look with a subtle reg tag, signaling the icon’s 40th anniversary.
The Boston-based brand continues the festivities for the silhouette as the 990v4 is next in line for its “MADE” upgrade. The New Balance 990v4 “MADE” follows its predecessors within the “MADE” series as the monochromatic grey upper is paired with the ruby red “Version 4” tag. The red hue also lands on the shoe’s tongue. The 990v4 also features heritage-inspired graphics on the sock-liner, relaying the importance of the 990v4 and its impact through the years.
