Sneaker culture and hip-hop overlap more than any other genre of music, and Reebok has been at the forefront of that connection since the 1980s. To celebrate hip-hop’s 50th anniversary, Reebok created a collection that highlights the impact black and brown people have had in society. The collection delivers two colorways of the Club c 85 and Classic Nylon, and an apparel collection that includes tees, hoodies, and tracksuits.
In addition to releasing the collection, Reebok is investing in the future of hip-hop by donating $30,000 to donation to Hip Hop For Change, an Oakland-based nonprofit that is reclaiming hip-hop culture as a vehicle for education, empowerment, and cultural innovation. “This collection goes beyond celebrating hip hop’s anniversary. Black and Brown communities in culture and society,” said Reebok’s Director of Human Rights Now! Product & Apparel Energy Concepts, Carmen Andrade Hardaway. The limited-edition Reebok collection will be available to purchase beginning November 6th, 2023, on Reebok.com in unisex sizing.
