Klay Thompson’s 10th Anta Signature Sneaker Is His Best Yet

Four-time NBA champion Klay Thompson wasn’t the first basketball player to sign to Anta, but he was the first star. The sharpshooter made waves when he left Nike for Anta in 2014 and helped put the Chinese sportswear brand on the map in the United States. The move was mutually beneficial. For Thompson, it gave him his first signature sneaker and significantly more money than traditional brands offered. For Anta, it gave them championship pedigree and on-court visibility on one of the best teams ever. The move would lay the foundation for more stars like Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving to make the jump. The ripple effect of signing with Anta would also help inform Klay’s decision to sign with the Dallas Mavericks ten years later. Now, he’s playing with fellow Anta ambassador Kyrie, and his 10th Anta sneaker is about to drop.

The Anta K10 represents a milestone for the 5x NBA All-Star and a symbol for his new chapter on the Dallas Mavericks. These moments in Thompson’s life come to life on the leading colorways. The “Crossing Time” version uses yellow to reflect hope’s dawn, red to symbolize enthusiasm and aggression, and blue for focus. The “Time Capsule” colorway symbolizes memories and achievements concealed for future appreciation. The clean black and white scheme represents “timelessness, while gold symbolizes precious memories and endless glory.”

Colorway stories aside, the K10 design stands out aesthetically as the best in his entire collection. It features an enhanced upper wrapping, embedded TPU in the midsole, a nylon thread support structure, and a multidirectional traction pattern. Klay’s “K” logo and signature are featured throughout. The Anta K10 “Crossing Time” and “Time Capsule” release on November 7 at 9 AM PST on anta.com.
