Nike is bringing back the Air Kukini from the archives. Released in 2000 and a member of the Alpha Project line, the Air Kukini was ahead of its time with its obscure design that was functional and fashion-forward.
The Swoosh celebrates the Kukini by unearthing the silhouette with new colorways, including the “Leopard,” “Lemon Venom,” and cream & grey versions. Another colorway is on the horizon as a “Brown” iteration is expected to release in the upcoming months.
The Nike Air Kukini “Brown” is dressed in a range of earth tones as an olive green textile upper is met with brown leather overlays and matching details. The Kukini’s signature TPU cage is dipped in a light brown hue, which passes as an aged treatment given its translucent build. A light brown outsole brings it all together.
A release date for the Nike Air Kukini “Brown” has not been announced. However, we expect the pair to release on SNKRS and select retailers in the upcoming months. As always, our monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
