The Nike Air Max 97 is The Latest to See a Price Increase

Another Nike classic is getting a price increase. Following the news that the Air Force 1 Low will increase from $90 to $100, the Air Max 97 is next in line to get a price increase.

The Nike Air Max 97 will go from its $170 price point to $175, which is already the case on certain Nike.com-listed shoes. The price increase is attributed to supply chain issues, according to Forbes.

The price increase is reportedly meant to “offset transportation, logistics, and air freight costs required to move products through the supply chain.”

The Air Max 97 celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and big things are ahead for the runner. Both the Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet” and the Air Max 97 “Atlantic Blue” are returning this year and are expected to retail for $180. The 2017 “Silver Bullet” had an MSRP of $160.
