Nike Announces “Nike: Better is Temporary”, Book Which Explores The Company’s Design Ethos

Nike has revealed a brand new monograph being published via Phaidon entitled “Nike: Better is Temporary“. Written by Sam Growe, the book focuses specifically on the iconic and ever-evolving design language utilized at Nike over the decades. The book is described as:

“…an unprecedented, behind-the-scenes exploration into Nike’s internal design philosophy. …Placing industry-defining innovations and globally-recognized products alongside previously unpublished designs, prototypes, insider stories, and more, the immersive visual survey reveals how Nike’s foundational dedication to “listening to the voice of the athlete” fuels its dogged pursuit of progress.”

As part of continued efforts in Nike’s Move To Zero carbon-neutral initiative, the book is bound in a hyper-minimalist, low-waste packaging composed of exposed cardboard covers and a non-woven jacket lining. The book will have a limited release this month via phaidon.com and select retailers with a wider release planned for January 25th, 2021.
