Nike’s newest venture in sustainable footwear has been unveiled. Following the blueprint of the popular Space Hippie series, the Nike Crater Impact features the same thick, Nike Grind Rubber midsole composed of recycled factory scraps. Nike Grind midsoles are each uniquely speckled due to the variety of different colors and gauges of scrap rubber ground together to make the more environmentally-conscious cushioning. The shoe’s upper is composed of an all-white knit base with embroidered textile patches adding additional structure to the medial and lateral paneling and lacestays. Further design flourishes appear in the form of a Swoosh outline on the medial side and a silver Swoosh silhouette embroidered on the lateral. A bright orange heel tab and matching stitching placed strategically throughout the upper add an extra hit of color.
