Another Chinese New Year-themed offering from Nike is set to arrive later this month. The Nike Dunk Low CNY “Firecracker” releases January 22nd alongside a limited edition box. Inspired by the look of celebratory firecrackers, the shoe features baby blue underlays with a dotted-halftone pattern while the royal blue overlays feature colorful graphics inspired by the design of firecracker wrappings. The tongue tag and exterior of the red shoebox both feature a fun “Safety” label just like a package of real fireworks would. Leaked images also reveal that the upper can be torn off to reveal a bright red base. This red layer can further be torn down to reveal a black and grey underlayer representative of gunpowder.
