Nike is taking one of their most popular models, the Nike Dunk Low, and paying homage to the most widely distributed fish in all of Oregon, the rainbow trout.
The sneaker comes comprised of an array of materials like canvas, suede, and leather. The sneaker has a nylon ripstop base with shaggy suede overlays. The fish’s spotted coat appears on the toe box and quarter panels surrounded by green suede overlays. The Swoosh comes with a modified hook shape and iridescent scales as a nod to the underbelly of the fish.
Fish graphics appear on the tongue and insole, as well as orange accents on the mesh tongue and heel. A hint of pink underneath the heel and cream midsole tie the look together. The Nike Dunk Low “Rainbow Trout” is expected to release via Nike and select retailers in the upcoming months. The retail price is set at $110.
